SLGTI considers itself as a ‘Green College’. A green college approach starts with waste management, recycling and composting. It also covers a conscious usage of water (usage of rain water, rain water ponds, water filters for reused water, etc.) and electricity (solar panels, and energy efficient light bulbs).
SLGTI is committed to using recycled paper and duplex printing. The students and lecturers take care of the SLGTI compound by conducting monthly ‘Green Days’.
